Hajin: Wahab Cultural Society Hajin in collaboration with Kashmir Gulukaar Society and Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art Culture and Languages organised a function in memory of late noted folk singer Ali Mohammad Sheikh in Town Hall Hajin on Sunday .
The function was held under the patronage of Adabi Markaz Kamaraz .
On the occasion Kashmir Gulukar Society and various artists paid musical tribute to legendary noted folk singer Ali Mohammad Sheikh.
Speakers on the occasion paid glowing tributes to noted folk singer Ali Mohammad Sheikh and termed him the best folk singer.
Chairman Gulokar Society Gulzar Ahmad Ganie while paying his tributes to Ali Mohammad Sheikh said, We are remembering such artists who have contributed immensely to Kashmir’s music scenario.
Ali Mohammad Sheikh is the inspiration for many aspiring singers. His soulful voice and his contribution towards music will be remembered for ever.He said.
The function was presided over by Halqa Adab Sonawari president Shakir Shafi besides him Azhar Hajini,Gulzar Gania ,Nazir Ahmad Javid ,Majeed Majazi,Dr.Reyaz Ul Hassan, Sonaullah Niyaz were also present in the Presidium.
A large number of writers,poets ,artists , journalists from all over the valley participated in the event .
