Srinagar: Dr. Asifa Wali and Dr. Asim Iqbal Bazaz Ph.D. scholars of the Faculty of Fisheries, SKUAST-Kashmir bagged Young Scientist Awards during National Conference cum Workshop on Innovations and Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Development (IESD-2022) organized by Central University of Kashmir in collaboration with SKUAST-Kashmir on 20-21 December, 2022. Dr. Asifa was awarded for her doctoral research work on “Studies on histomorphology of alimentary canal and some digestive enzymes in rainbow trout, Oncorhynchusmykiss” while Dr.Asim was awarded for his research work on “Production of sterile trout (Triploids) using thermal shock treatment in Oncorhynchusmykiss and Salmotruttafario” Both the scholars have worked under supervision of Dr. Tasaduq H. Shah, Associate Prof., Division of FRM, Faculty of Fisheries, Rangil.The valedictory event was attended, among others, by Prof. Farooq Ahmad Shah, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Kashmir, Prof. M. Afzal Zargar, Registrar, Central University of Kashmir and Prof. Haroon Rashid Naik, Director Planning and Monitoring, SKUAST-Kashmir.
