Rehabilitation of addicts is our collective responsibility: Dr. Owais

BANDIPORA: As part of ‘Good Governance Week’ programme, the Deputy Commissioner (DC), Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad today visited Addiction Treatment Facility Centre (ATFC) Bandipora to take firsthand assessment and review of healthcare treatment services being provided to the addicts.
During the visit, the DC inspected the treatment facilities and medicines available at ATFC for the rehabilitation of drug addicts.
He also interacted with the staff there and took feedback from them on its better working.
Dr. Owais on the occasion stressed for proper maintenance of records of those under rehabilitation for proper follow up.
He said those involved in drug abuse are victims and it is our collective responsibility to work for their rehabilitation in the proper way while exuding upon treatment staff to give their best in their rehabilitation.
Dr Owais also urged the youth to stay away from drugs and appealed to those involved to come forward without hesitation for availing treatment and rehabilitation facilities to return to normal life.
The DC was accompanied by ADDC Bandipora Ali Afsar Khan, District Nodal Officer Coordination Mohd Ashraf Hakak, ADC Bandipora Waseem Raja, JD planning Imtiyaz Ahmad and other concerned.
