Chess championship concludes

SRINAGAR: The three day UT Level Chess Championship concluded here at Srinagar Sports Club SKISC Srinagar.
In which Soham Kamotra from District Jammu secured 1st position, Ajit Singh from District Unhampur secured second position, Faisal Farooq Dhar from District Ganderbal secured third position and Khalid Amin from District Srinagar secured fourth position.
The Chess Championship was organized by “The Kashmir Chess Club” in collaboration with All J&K Chess Association under the Aegis of J&K Sports Council.
On the closing ceremony Masood Ahmad Manager SKISC was Chief Guest and distributed cash prizes and trophies to winners.
Besides other officials of Sports & other members of All J&K Chess Association were also present. Total 40 selected players were invited for this tournament from all over from UT.
The top four players will represent JK UT in MPL 59th Senior national chess championship– 2022 scheduled to be held at New Delhi from 22nd December 2022 to 3rd January 2023.
