GDC Pampore distributed school bags among adopted school students at Khunchoo 

PAMPORE: Government Degree College Pampore distributed School bags of adopted Government Upper Primary school Under the Slogan, “My Town My Pride” at Khunchoo Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
GDC Pampore under “My School My Pride” organized distribution of school bags cum awareness programme under the banner, “My Town My Pride” at the adopted school Government Upper Middle School Krunchoo Pampore.
Before the distribution of school bags, the students were informed in detail about the Slogan, “My Town My Pride”, Prof Shah Lateef told Kashmir Reader.
The Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Huda Galzai in her address encouraged the students to take care of their personal hygiene, surroundings and emerge as great personalities in the future. She said if you work hard and achieve higher positions in your life then through your success you can make your town to gain pride.
The Nodal officer, My School My Pride, Prof Shah Lateef inspired the students through various examples of achievement and leadership. The faculty members of the school thanked the Principal GDC Pampore for this supporting activity.
The other faculty members of GDC Pampore Prof Alam Ara Shah, Dr. Shabir Hussain Lone and Prof Ashaq Rashid were present on the occasion.
The NSS volunteers of the College Took active role in successful completion of this activity.
The main objective of the activity was to inculcate in students to take constructive roles in society in order to uplift their town in terms of its all-round development, Prof Shah Lateef told Kashmir Reader.
“The school is already adopted under My School My Pride. we provide them different facilities from time to time, we also invite them to our college for providing them exposure,” Principal GDC Pampore, Dr Huda Gazia told Kashmir Reader, adding that the students are allowed to use the library, browsing centre and participate in other activities.
She said today under My Town My Pride she along with her staff members visited the school.
” Since the majority of the students come from poor families, they were given school bags, the students and the staff of the school interacted with me and brought various issues into my notice, we will try to address those issues and will strive to provide them with all facilities we can, ” she said.
