Electricity affected in Srinagar areas as Zainakote grid develops technical snag

Srinagar: The power supply got affected in several downtown areas and Bemina area in the Srinagar city on Saturday evening after Zainakote grid developed some technical snag.

Several consumers said that Chattabal and its adjacent areas didn’t get electricity since 8:00 PM.

They said the areas were reeling under darkness for more than 3 hours now and demanded power supply be resorted at an earliest.

Meanwhile, Chief Engineer, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), Javed Yousuf Dar told KNO that electricity was affected in some areas being fed from Bemina and Wanganpora receiving stations after technical snag at Zainakote grid station.

He said electricity to the affected areas was being restored—(KNO)
