Srinagar: KVK/ETC Malangpora, Pulwama organised one day training programme on‘Soil Health Management visa-vis soil health card implementation’ on 24th Nov 2022 for Agriculture/Horticulture Extension Functionaries. The focus of the programme was on Healthy soil for Healthy life.
The Worthy Director Extension,Prof.Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi was the chief guest on the occasion.Officers of various Line Departments were also present on the occasion. All the scientific staff of the KVK participated in the said programme.
Prof.& Head KVK/ETC, Dr.Javed Ah.Mugloo welcomed the dignitaries and participants of the programme and presented the overview of the said training programme.Prof.Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi, Worthy Director Extension, during his brain storming speech gave comprehensive account of soil health with special mention of flora & fauna present in the soil and their importance in maintaining soil health. The District Agriculture officer and Manager Padgampora Seed Farm during their speech requested the Worthy Director Extension for organising more such awareness programmes and trainings regarding soil health and soil fertility for extension functionaries as well as farming community.
During the technical session, Dr.SyedShujat, (SMS Soil Science) gave a power point presentation on Soil health management and Soil health card implementation and replied to the queries that were raised during the programme. The programme was concluded by vote of thanks extended by Prof.Afsa Nehvi.
