PAMPORE: The annual Urs of Hazrat Alamdar Kashmir Sheikh-Ul- Alam Sheikh Nooru Din Noorani (RA) was Celebrated with great devotion and respect in Ladhoo village of Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.
The annual Urs of High-ranking Sufi Saint Hazrat Alamdar-e-Kashmir Sheikh Nooru Din Noorani (RA) was celebrated with great devotion and religious fervour at Ladhoo area of Pampore Tehsil.
Devotees from different areas thronged the Shrine since Monday evening, a good number of devotees, including men, women, children and elders visited and attended the urs at Ladhoo, locals told Kashmir Reader.
In connection with Urs Mubarak, the Shrine where Sheikh-ul-Aalam visited was decorated.
The renowned Sufi Saint, Islamic Preacher and Poet Sheikh Noor Ud Din Noorani was born around 1377 in Kaimoh area of Kulgam district and left for heavenly abodes in 1440.
People prayed for the peace and prosperity of the valley.
On the other hand, during Shab Khwani, scholars shed detailed light on the lifestyle and teachings of Hazrat Sheikh Alam (RA) and said that only by adopting the teachings and lifestyle of Sheikh Alam (RA), a person is successful in this world and the hereafter.
His relics were also displayed during the occasion.
