Srinagar: A literary event was held today at Government Degree College Beerwah. The event was organized by Gulshan Cultural Forum Kashmir and Sahitya Akademi New Delhi in connection with the 24th birth anniversary of renowned writer, poet and researcher Hakeem Ghulam Hasan Shahbaz under the Literary Forum series of Sahitya Academy.
The programme was presided over by Syed Bashir Kausar, president of Gulshan Cultural Forum, while Principal of the college Prof. Samina Yesvi, was present as the chief guest.
Shabnam Tilgami, the representative of Sahitya Academy, presented the welcome note while Dr. Hussain Hadi hosted the programme.
Among the paper writers who presented their papers in this program include Master Ghulam Muhammad Dar, Gulshan Badrani, Mushtaq Ahmad Mushtaq and Syed Bashir Kausar.
Maqbool Shaida had the privilege of presenting Naat Rasool Maqbool in while Gulshan Badrani, General Secretary of the Gulshan Cultural Forum Kashmir presented the vote of thanks.
Other participants in the program included Latif Niyazi, Peerzada Muhammad Ashraf, Abdul Rahman Hakeem, Mohammad Idrees, Taseef Raza, Abdul Ahad Mir and Meraj-ud-Din Banday.
The audience called the program a motivational program.
