SRINAGAR: S. P. College and Government College of Education lifted summit trophies in Men & Women categories respectively of Inter-College Table Tennis Tournament played at Islamia college of Science and Commerce.
A total of 42 teams took part in the tournament and was played on knockout basis in the Indoor Sports Hall of the College.
The Men’s final proved to be the real cliff-hanger and could have gone either way but S. P. College, Srinagar held their nerve to edge out Govt. Degree College, Bemina in the third set of best of 5 after two teams shared one set each.
Govt College of Education, Srinagar defeated Govt. Degree College, Tangmarg in a closely held finals by2-1 sets.
Principal, Islamia College of Science and Commerce, Srinagar Prof (Dr)Shiekh Ajaz Bashir presided over the concluding ceremony with the senior faculty around . He presented Trophy to the Winners Men team. Dr Seema Bashir, Head- Faculty of Commerce gave Trophy to Women champions.
