‘Tech Fest’ sponsored by JK Bank at KU South Campus

SRINAGAR: Vice-Chancellor University of Kashmir Prof Nilofer Khan on Tuesday visited the varsity’s South Campus here and chaired the concluding ceremony of a two-day ‘TechFest’, an event sponsored by JK Bank that brought together people from academia and industry to help foster greater linkage between the two.
Congratulating the organisers for holding the TechFest, Prof Nilofer advised the students to be well-versed with technological advancements, saying “data is the future and is expected to influence all aspects of our lives”.
In his welcome address, Director South Campus Dr Mukhtar A Khanday said the event aims to connect South Campus with the Industry to help its student pass-outs to establish themselves as professionals in diverse fields of technology.
On the occasion, the students of the department presented colourful cultural performances, even as the winners of competitions were felicitated by the Vice- Chancellor.
