Srinagar: Two SKUAST-K scientists Dr. Sajad Majeed Zargar(Assistant Professor, Division of Plant Biotechnology) and Dr. N. R. Sofi (Professor, GPB, MRCFC Khudwani) have been selected for Erasmus+ Fellowship funded by European Commission.
They will proceed to University of Padova, Italy in January, 2023 for two weeks as visiting professors. SKUAST-Kashmir and University of Padova, Italy have a joint collaborative project under Erasmus+ programme funded by European Commission, which involve student and staff mobility between the two universities.
Under this programme three students from SKUAST-Kashmir and one faculty member have already visited University of Padova, Italy. Two students from Division of Plant Biotechnology are presently perusing training on advanced plant proteomics/ metabolomics as a part of their Ph. D research. Dr. Zargar, is the Coordinator of the Erasmus+programme.
Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, congratulated both the scientists and hoped that the collaboration between the two institutions will further get strengthened to improve our international outlook. Vice Chancellor SKUAST-K also appreciated the efforts of scientists for making the global presence of SKUAST-Kashmir.
