No plan of winter vacation in Kashmir as of now: DSEK

Srinagar: Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Tasaduq Hussain Mir on Sunday said that there is no plan of winter vacations in Kashmir region as of now.
Mir said the department will continue with the academics till weather situation allows.
He said that the winter vacation call will be taken only after the weather turns unfavourable or tempature slips into minus. “If weather conditions permit and temperatures don’t go below zero, we will keep the school open till December end,” he said.
The administration of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced in August this year that the Class 10 and 12 board examinations conducted by the Board of School Education (JKBOSE) in Kashmir will be conducted along with the Jammu division in March instead of October-November as in the past.(KNS)
