KVK Malangpora conducts training programme on Intercropping in Mulberry at Pahoo Pulwama

PULWAMA: Krishi Vigyan Kendra Malangpora organised a day long training programme on ‘Intercropping in Mulberry’ in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.
Krishi Vigyan Kendra Malangpora Pulwama conducted awareness cum training programme on “Intercropping in Mulberry” in collaboration with College of Temperate Sericulture Mirgund, SKUAST-Kashmir and Sericulture Development Department Pulwama at Pahoo village of Pulwama district.
The programme was inaugurated by Professor and head KVK Malangpora Javaid Ahmad Magloo.
District Sericulture officer Ferooz Ahmad, Scientists Sericulture SKUAST-Kashmir Mirgund and other officials attend the programme, officials told Kashmir Reader.
During the day long training programme more than 50 farmers participated in the said training cum awareness programme.
The Prof, head KVK Malangpora Pulwama Javaid Ahmad Magloo briefed the farmers about various aspects of intercropping for doubling the farmers income and District Sericulture officer, Ferooz Ahmad during his speech gave awareness to the farmers about various sericulture schemes that are in vogue in Jammu and Kashmir.
The Scientists from College of Temperate Sericulture (COTS) in Mirgund briefed about various technology models for optimization of resources for harvesting high quality cocoons.
