Sumbal: GDC Sumbal in collaboration with the Health Department of District Bandipora, kick started the process of the Registration of Students for the Golden/Health Card facility on Thursday and shall continue upto 05-11-2022.
While inaugurating the programme the Principal of GDC Sumbal Prof. (Dr.) Shabeena Iqbal Shawl, advised the students and other stakeholders to register themselves for availing this Health Card facility at an earliest.
She appreciated this move of the government which provides a lot of relief to those needy people who are suffering from various kinds of ailments and are not able to bear the expenses on treatment.
She also asked the students to educate the other members of their families to avail this facility.
A large number of students took keen interest in this initiative. Prof. Riyaz Ahmad Kuchay HOD Economics, Prof. Mohamad Iqbal Rather HOD Urdu and Dr. Faheem-Ul-Hassan HOD Social Work, also spoke on the occasion and extended their support for making the programme successful.
Some officers of the Health Department were also present on the occasion.
The proceedings of the event were carried out by Dr. Mehraj Hajni HOD Political Science and Staff Secretary of the College.
