Essay, Quiz Competition under civic action programme held at GDC Pampore

GDC Pampore students secured Ist post, GBHS School Pampore secured 2nd position

PAMPORE: Jammu and Kashmir police organized a Essay Quiz Competition under the civic action programme at Government Degree College Pampore on Friday.
In the memory of police Marty’s Debate, Essay and Quiz Competition programme organised by police district Awantipora under civic action programme in collaboration with Government Degree College Pampore.
SSP Awantipora Mohammad Yousuf was the chief guest on the occasion while SP DAR Awantipora Fayaz Ahmad, SDPO Pampore Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad, SHO Pampore Adil Ashraf and other officials were present on the occasion.
Principal Government Degree College Pampore Dr Pro Huda Galzai, Dr Mohammad Iqbal and other officials of the college also participated in the event.
A total number of six teams comprising three students each from different educational institutions and GDC Pampore participated in the event in the quiz competition.
Student of Government Degree College Pampore secured the first position, while students from Boys Higher Secondary school Pampore bagged 2nd position in Quiz Competition, SDPO Pampore Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad told Kashmir Reader.
SSP Awantipora Mohammad Yousuf in his address to the participants appreciated the success and intelligence of students and assured them for providing them every kind of support to boost sports activities and channelize the talent of youth of the area.
He also highlighted the aim of the civic action programme and efforts of J&K Police.
SDPO Pampore Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad said that quiz programmes are important and such events related with education are very useful for the upliftment of the society as it helps the students for their future and should be organized on mass level.
During the event, rich tributes were paid to the police martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the peace and prosperity of the nation. Police thanked the participants for their active participation in the event to honour the Police Martyrs.
At the end of the event the winners of the competition were honoured by SSP Awantipora Mohammad Yousuf with cash reward and Trophies. 1st position was bagged by Team “F” of Government Degree College Pampore who were awarded with cash prize of Rs 5000, a memento and appreciation certificates. Second position was bagged by Team “A” of Government Boys Higher Secondary Pampore who were awarded with cash prize of Rs 4000, a memento and appreciation certificates. Moreover, participation certificates were distributed among all the participants. SSP Awantipora along with other officers wished them good luck for their future.
