PAMPORE: A 48-year-old tourist from West Bengal was killed after being hit by an unknown vehicle at Lethpora area of Awantipora, a police official said.
The accident took place at Lethpora in which one unknown vehicle hit a pedestrian namely Ahmad Ali Khan son of Namiyat Ali resident of Iqrar Bug West Bengal. He received grievous injuries.
The injured tourist was immediately shifted to Sub district hospital Pampore for treatment where doctors declared him brought dead.
The body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while a case in connection was registered at police station Awantipora and investigation started.
