4858 Housing Units to be constructed under PMAY Rural & Urban sector in B’pora

BANDIPORA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad today chaired a meeting to review the implementation and progress under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) Urban and Rural schemes in the district.
The DC directed the concerned officers to ensure that the scheme guidelines are followed in letter and spirit so that all genuine eligible beneficiaries are covered under the scheme in the district.
He took Tehsil wise and Ward wise review of the scheme and progress made so far and enjoined upon the concerned officers to compile the data about the beneficiaries by checking all parameters as per the scheme guidelines including title verification as per revenue records, proper Aadhaar seeding and geo-tagging of all the cases.
On the occasion, the DC asked all the concerned officers to ensure not a single genuine beneficiary is left out of the coverage of the scheme. He said the District should be 100 percent saturated within the timeframe set by the Government.
District Programme Officer Nodal Officer Coordination Mohd Ashraf Hakak, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Joint Director Planning, CEO Municipal Council Bandipora, besides all Tehsildars and Block Development Officers participated in the meeting.
The chair was informed that work is in progress on 1900 houses under PMAY-Urban out of the total target of 3400 houses.
Under PMAY-Gramin 1205 houses have been taken up out of the total target of 1458 Houses.
It was given out that a total of 4858 houses will be constructed under the PMAY Urban and Rural schemes in the district.
Dr Owais directed officers to ensure proper implementation of schemes and time bound completion of the houses.
