Inter-College Cricket tournament: ICSC lifts summit trophy

SRINAGAR: Islamia College of Science and Commerce (ICSC) comprehensively beat Government Degree College, Baramulla in the finals of Inter-College Cricket tournament played at Kashmir University Cricket ground on Wednesday.
ICSC skipper after winning the toss decided to bat first. ICSC lost opener Ghazi Mushtaq early. A match winning partnership of 60 runs between Quanain and Yasir consolidated the things.
Quanian scored 42. In the final overs it was again all-rounder Muteeb who played a 12 ball cameo scoring 30 runs smashing the Baramulla bowler to every corner of the park.
Chasing a daunting target of 163 runs Govt. Degree College, Baramulla despite flashes of brilliance kept losing wickets at regular intervals, thanks to a brilliant off spin bowling in tandem by Hurrair and Muteeb. Hurrair claimed three wickets while his partner bagged two two wickets respectively. Muteeb was adjudged Man of the Match.
The tournament was tournament organized by Physical Education Department of University of Kashmir.
