Contraband substance recovered

Srinagar: Police have arrested 3 drug peddlers in Ganderbal & Bandipora and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
A Police party of Police Station Kangan at a checkpoint established at Iqbal Abad Kangan, arrested a drug peddler identified as Muzaffar Ahmad Jagal son of Nazir Ahmad Jagal resident of Naranag, Kangan. During the search, contraband substance was recovered from his possession. He has been shifted to the police station where he remains in custody.
Similarly in Bandipora, officers from Police Post Nowgam at a checkpoint established on Tularzoo Gunchipora Road arrested two drug peddlers identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Wani son of Mohd Yousuf Wani and Nayeem Ahmad Zargar son of Gh Rasool Zargar, both residents of Pattan. During the search, 7.5 kgs of Charas was recovered from their possession.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective Police stations and investigations have been initiated.
