Ajaz Ahmad Bhat assumes charge as Director JKEDI at Pampore

PAMPORE: Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS) on Wednesday took over the charge of Director, Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) at Pampore in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The staff of the Institute welcomed the new Director and assured full cooperation in carrying out the Institute’s mission.
IAS officer Ajaz Ahmad Bhat after assumed charge as the Director JKEDI Pampore, the Director EDI held a meeting with officials of the Institute and took a detailed round of the JKEDI and also inspection of various sections of the department.
The staff of the institute on the occasion assured full cooperation in carrying out the Institute’s mission.
Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS) thanked the staff for the warm welcome and promised to dedicate himself to youth and to develop a robust startup ecosystem, skill development, self-employment initiatives and youth engagement models in mission mode as is envisioned by Government of Jammu and Kashmir under the leadership of Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha.
” Today I assumed charge as Director JKEDI Pampore which has a office in Jammu also, this is UT level post,” Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS) told Kashmir Reader, adding that the institute needs to be revived.
He said that they will frame core study group which guide on different schemes offered through the institute.
“The focus will be on self employment generating schemes as per directions of LG,” he said, adding that he will closely monitor the self employment generating schemes.
” With other officials we will develop a module for involving maximum number of youth for self employment and start ups,” he said, adding that industrial tours will be arranged to encourage new entrepreneurs towards the sector.
He assured the youth that all issues would be prioritized and redressed and that he would do his best to ensure the youth received the benefits of various government schemes and initiatives.
