PULWAMA: The District Rural Haat Pulwama was today thrown open for Public with the facility inaugurated by one of the senior artisans of the district in presence of Assistant Director Handicrafts & Handloom Pulwama and other senior officers & officials of the department.
“As an initiative taken by the UT Govt and as per the instructions of Director Handicrafts & Handloom Kashmir, Mehmood Ahmad Shah, only genuine handmade products shall be available in the Haat”, said AD H&H Pulwama, Mohamamd Yaseen Bhat at the opening ceremony.
He added that the facility shall provide marketing support for the Handicraft & Handloom artisans of the district by accommodating their self made products like crewel, sozni, staple, carpet, paper mache, wood carving etc.
The District Haat is located in the premises of AD Handicrafts & Handloom Office Pulwama at Industrial Estate Chatapora Pulwama.
A number of people visited the Haat and appreciated the facility in the district. The products shall be available at much cheaper rates as compared to the open market, said one the official at the venue.
People have been invited to visit the facility and take home the genuine handmade handicraft & handloom products.
