NSO organises three day training camp on Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises

Srinagar: The National Statistical Office (NSO) under the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation , Government of India, Regional Office Srinagar organized three-day Regional Training Camp (RTC) on Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises (ASUSE) on 28th, 29th and 30th September 2022. Unincorporated sector is an integral part of Indian economy, which not only comprises of large number of establishments but also generates large number of employment in this sector.
Besides, its contribution to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the country is also significant. Unincorporated sector has tremendous potential to grow higher. The National Statistical office (NSO) is collecting data on Unincorporated Non-Agricultural Enterprises in Manufacturing, Trade and Other Service Sector (excluding construction) from the selected enterprises and enterprise- owner households during 1st October 2022 to 30th September 2023. The data to be collected in this round will help in meeting the requirements of different Ministries/Organizations and researchers.
The conference was inaugurated By Shri. Rajesh Kumar, Deputy Director, NSO (FOD), J&K UT, The other participants included Smt. Suraya Anwar, Incharge NSO (FOD), Regional Office Srinagar, all Senior Statistical Officers, Survey supervisors and Survey Enumerators. In the inaugural address, Shri. Rajesh Kumar highlighted the need of quality data collection and appealed to the general public mainly establishments/households to cooperate and provide correct information to the field staff of NSO.
