KULGAM: A meeting of District Level Committee was today held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat at mini secretariat, here to discuss and finalize Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) action plan.
During the meeting, the DC took a detailed review about various developmental components taken under SBM across all 11 blocks.
After threadbare discussion, the SBM action plan committee approved the action plan.
Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Mohammad Imran Khan also apprised the chair about the steps and arrangements put in place for door to door collection of domestic waste in panchayats.
Chair was also informed that land has been identified for segregation sheds.
The DC impressed upon the concerned to work in coordination and ensure proper implementation of SBM action plan. He also stressed upon the officers to launch the IEC campaign on a massive scale by involving local PRI members to sensitize the people regarding the importance of cleanliness to maintain hygienic environment/atmosphere in the Panchayats.
The meeting was attended by ADDC, JD-Planning, ACP, ACD, Ex. Engineer REW, BDOs and other officers.
