Transportation arrangements for migratory tribal families reviewed in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav, today reviewed the preparedness for transportation facilities to be provided to migratory tribal families on return from highland pastures to villages.
The meeting was attended by ASP Kishtwar Rajinder Singh, ExEn Mechanical Division Kishtwar Kuldeep Kumar, Manager RTC Ajaz Ahmed,ARTO Ramesh Samotra, DSHO Dr Arafat Qazi,CAHO Dr Sanjay Kumar Sen, representatives of truck unions and other Concerned.
The concerned departmental heads briefed the meeting about preparedness made so far.
The Deputy Commissioner directed for hassle-free movement of migratory tribal families with all required facilities and smooth management of traffic. He directed the deployment of a requisite number of trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles for the purpose.
He further directed to establish control rooms to facilitate hassle-free movement of migratory tribal families and notify the Helpline numbers, besides he stressed to provide them all requisite assistance including livestock healthcare.
The concerned district officer was asked to come up with a comprehensive traffic plan for smooth management of transport fleets through a regulated manner.
The DSHO was appointed as Nodal officer for making all the arrangements.
He also directed to constitute a joint team of veterinarians from Animal & Sheep Husbandry department, transport department and other agencies to ensure the encumbrance free movement.
The DC informed the meeting that a transportation facility, free of cost, is being provided from 25 September to 25 October 2022.
He also instructed traffic police teams to coordinate pick-up and movement of trucks and LCMVs deployed for migratory tribal families.
He further asked the concerned to prepare the list of families registered, locations of pick-up points, join teams, help-desks, veterinary healthcare and other arrangements.
