Masoodi, tours Pampore, Tral, reviews developmental projects

PAMPORE: Member Parliament, Anantnag Lok Sabha constituency, Justice (Retd.) Hasnain Masoodi on Saturday visited Galandar Gujar Basti Pampore, Pastoona, Mini Secretariat and Sub district hospital Tral where he reviewed various development works.
During the visits, people of these areas met the Member of Parliament Hasnain Masoodi and informed him about the demands of their areas.
The Member Parliament assured the people that he would play his key role in resolving their demands on priority basis.
Member Parliament Hasnain Masoodi told Kashmir Reader that Galander area is only thirteen kilometers away from Srinagar city but still this area has been neglected which is a matter of concern and shame.
The Member Parliament Hasnain Masoodi has assured the people to carry out other works on the roof as soon as possible.
“The place is only 13 kilometers from Srinagar and it should have been macadamised” he said, adding that he will arrange funds for the work and will make sure that it gets macadamised before winter.
Hasnain Masoodi said that Saffron Town Pampore be included in the Jhelum Tawi sponsored project.
” I have talked to Finance minister in this matter and if Pampore is kept under this project then there will be no paucity of resources,” he said, adding that the embankments be raised along both sides of Jhelum from Joinery mills to Galander because after Srinagar Pampore most prone to floods.
He also added that a community hall with facilities for holding marriage ceremonies needs to be built for Pampore town.
He said that he talked about this with Deputy Commissioner Pulwama and land of 11 kanals has been identified.
“A 6 kilometer long road from Syedpora to Wahab Sahab will connect 30 villages and decrease the distance from Tral to Srinagar by 15 kilometers,” Masoodi said, adding that it is an important road for which has talked to road Minister and a DPR has been prepared.
He said that another road is from Lahandajan to Bhatnoor Tral
He said that this road will connect the upper reaches of Pahalgam with Tral and will be an important road for local pilgrimage.
