Gandebal: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (YSS) Friday organised an Inter Zonal District Level Annual Athletic Meet for Girls at Shiekh-ul-Alam Public School Ground Kangan.
A total of 236 Girls from across the District participated in the event.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO) Ganderbal Sheikh Shafqat Iqbal inaugurated the event.
While speaking about the importance of such activities for students in particular he stated that when students are participating in any sports matches or competitions, then they need good teamwork, cooperation, and coordination. Learning these skills during sports activities also helps them in various phases of their life, like in academics or future careers.
Scores of Departmental officials were deputed for the successful conduct of the field and track events.
