Department of Zoology GDC Doda holds lecture on TB elimination at Khellani

Srinagar: Department of Zoology Govt.Degree College Doda under the headship and principal investigator of project of Dr.Ajaz Ahmed Wani organised an extension lecture on Tuberculosis at Govt.Higher Higher Secondary School Khellani .The extension lecture is an awareness programme on Tuberculosis (TB) which is a part of research project entitled “ *Study Knowledge, survey and awareness of Tuberculosis in Chenab region of Jand K”* sponsored by Science Technology and Innovation Council,Department of Science and Technology Govt.of Jammu and Kashmir.
As Prime Minister of India has also set the target of 2025 to eliminate this silent killer disease (TB ) from Indian continent.In the interactive workshop four students also spoke on the occasion which was followed by detailed lecture by Imteyaiz Ahmed Assistant Professor and Co Principal investigator .Dr Wani also spoke at length regarding this disease and Nikshay Poshan yojna started by Govt.of India for the Tuberculosis patients and also delivered the moral lecture to the students.
The trophies were also presented to the participants and an appreciation certificate was also presented to school administration for support . The programme culminates by vote of thanks by the principal .The other faculty members present on the occasion are Dr.Muneesh Kumar, Mohammad Ahsan senior lecturer,Divender Kumar,Mool Raj and others besides large gathering of students .
