Saffron Sports Cricket Tournament: Mir XI edge past Galandar Titans, lifts summit trophy

PAMPORE: Mir XI Chadoora emerge victorious as they beat Galandar Titans by 54 runs in the summit clash of Saffron sports t-20 cricket tournament on Saturday played here at Sambora ground.
Mir XI Chadoora won the toss elected to bat first and set target of 221 runs in the 20 overs.
In reply Galander Titans was never in the hunt as they lost wickets at regular intervals and were bundled out 167.
Deputy Commissioner Pulwama Baseer-ul-Haq Choudhary along with SSP Awantipora Mohammad Yousuf were Chief Guest on the prize distribution ceremony.
The winning team was rewarded with a trophy and cash prize of Rs 40,000 while the runner up team was given a trophy and cash prize of Rs 20,000.
Sajad Ahmad Hurra wicketkeeper from Samboora strakers was declared as man of the series, he was given Rs 5000 and Samar Amin was declared as man of the match.
DC Pulwama and SSP Awantipora awarded the wining team and the runner up team rupees 10000 and 6000 respectively out of their own pockets.
A total of 32 teams from different districts of the valley participated in the three month long tournament.
