Srinagar: Commissioner/Secretary to Govt. Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Mandeep Kaur reviewed progress of Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP) at Srinagar today. The meeting was briefed by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) IWMP Dr Bharat Bhushan. The meeting was also attended by Officer on Special Duty (OSD) Er Aamir Ali and all District Project Managers of IWMP.
It was informed during the meeting that 37 Projects under IWMP scheme of Phase 3rd, 4th & 5th have been completed and the BaseLine Survey (BSL) of all Watershed Management Projects in the Districts is nearing completion. 117 Projects under ‘Entry Point Activity’ (EPA) have also been identified and 97 works already put to tenders, including 25 Amrit Sarovar works. Commissioner Rural Development appreciated the progress and gave directions to complete the Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of all the identified works within one month.
