CRC-Srinagar organises Refresher Programme

SRINAGAR: The Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRC- Srinagar) has started its five days Refresher Programme on ‘Research Methodology in the field of Special Education and Disability Rehabilitation’ from 18th to 22nd Aug, 2022 here.
The programme was inaugurated by Professor Qayyum Hussain, Vice Chancellor Cluster University Srinagar in presence of Dr. Lalit Narayan, Deputy Director PDUNIPPD New Delhi as guest on honour.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor, Cluster University, Srinagar highlighted the basic characteristics of Research Methodology and issues faced by the Researchers during conducting the Research Studies. He also expressed his gratitude to the Director CRC and CRC staff for conducting such programmes for the betterment of Rehabilitation Professionals and students.
He also appreciated the developments and changes that had took place in CRC from the recent past and assured meaningful collaborations with his university in the area of research, skill development and Professional studies.
Earlier, Dr. Mir Zaffar Iqbal, the Director of CRC, Srinagar welcomed all the Dignitaries, Resource Persons and participants of the programme.
He further elaborated on the programme and informed that the refresher programme is accredited and funded by the Rehabilitation Council of India, New Delhi and this is the first Refresher Course organized ever in Jammu and Kashmir dedicated to Persons with Disabilities.
He informed that Participants from 05 different States will be present throughout and eminent Academicians from esteemed Universities and Institutions will share their knowledge and experiences as resource persons in the programme.
Dr. Lalit Narayan delivered the Key Note Address. He emphasized the importance of research in the field of Disability Rehabilitation and appealed to the Professionals working in Special Education & Disability Rehabilitation to undertake research studies on different problems related to Persons with Disabilities.
He also appreciated the efforts made by Director CRC Srinagar and his team for organising such a meaningful programme in Kashmir.
The programme was also attended by eminent NGO representatives, Officers of state Govt, and Scholars of different institutes.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Ramesh Pandey, Director CRC Lucknow.
