Bandipora: On the eve of the 76th Independence Day a function to celebrate Independence Day was held at Municipal Committee Hajin where MC Chairman Irshad Ahmad hoisted the national flag and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of JK Police, JKAP, IRP 21 battalion , JKSPOs, and CRPF 45th Battalion .
Dysp Hajin Latief Ahmad Khan.SHO Hajin Qaiser Ahmad ,Deputy Chairman Waseem Parray ,ZEO Hajin , Principal Higher secondary school Hajin,Senior Civil, Police and Army Officers ,Govt employees were present on the occasion.
Addressing the function, Irshad Wani congratulated the people on the eve of Independence Day.
Chairman MC Hajin Irshad Wani on the occasion highlighted the achievements of the town under various sectors besides effective implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes and flagship programmes under, PM KISAN, , PMAY, PMGSY, NABARD projects .
Later, a prize distribution ceremony was organized during which different functionaries viz officers, officials, best performing cultural artists, parade commanders among others were felicitated.
Meanwhile, various colourful cultural programmes were presented which enthralled the audience attending the independence Day celebration.
