Chaddi Mubarak puja held at Shiv temple Pampore

PAMPORE: Chhari-Mubarak on Sunday left for its final destination towards the Amarnath cave after a Puja was performed at Shiv Temple Pampore in the morning.
The group was led by caretaker of the Chhari Mubarak Mahant Deependra Giri.
The group of sadhus reached Pampore early morning where they performed Puja at Shiv temple in Drangbal locality of Saffron Town Pampore.
A local pandit of Pampore also joined the Puja at Shiv Temple.
During the special Puja special prayers were held for peace and prosperity of Kashmir.
SSP Awantipora Mohammad Yousuf, SDPO Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad, Commandant 110 Bn CRPF Yogesh Purohit, SHO Pampore Adil Ashraf and other security officials were present at Shiv Temple Pampore to receive the Chhari Mubarak Yatris.
The Chhari Mubarak will pass through various temples en-route to Holy cave in Anantnag district.
Taking to Kashmir Reader at Shiv Temple Pampore Mahant Deependra Giri said that “Pampore was first halt station when Chhari Mubarak yatris would travel on foot, it was after many years that authorities made arrangements for observing the Puja,” Dipendra Giri said.
He expressed his gratitude to the local administration for the arrangements.
He said that they will leave for Bijbehara where Puja will be observed and then move to Martand temple Mattan, Ganeshpora, Pahalgam, Chandanwari and Sheshnag and finally reach the holy cave of Amarnath.
