Srinagar: Dean Students Welfare of the varsity conducted a University level painting competition under the banner of “Canvas of Hope” at Shalimar campus. The programme is part of the celebration under the aegis of “AzadikaAmritMahautsav”. The programme was inaugurated by Professor Nazir Ahmad Ganai, Vice-Chancellor of the University. Speaking on the occasion Vice- Chancellor stressed the need to promote the innate talent hidden in the students. He lauded the efforts of students who made awesome and thought provoking on -the spot paintings on the theme “Equal opportunity for all” – A way forward.
Earlier Dean Students Welfare Prof. M. A .A. Siddique Welcomed the Chief Guest and assured the Students that the University will take steps for promotion of the talent of the students and will ensure furtherance of their art on an entrepreneurial basis. The function was attended by Professor Dil Mohammad Makhdoomi Director Extension, Professor Q.N.Kaisar, Controller of Examination, Professor A. A. Khan OSD, Professor ShaheenKauser, HoD, Plant Pathology, Professor S .Simnani, HoD Fruit Science, Dr. M.N.Khan ,COTS , DrSajad Ahmad Bhat, Students Welfare Officer Shuhama and a large number of students besides the participating student artists.
At the End Dr. SeemiLohani Students Welfare Officer (HQ) delivered the vote of thanks.
