Week-long Digital JK celebrations conclude at BGSBU

Rajouri : Week-long celebrations of Digital JK initiatives concluded at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri. Various activities were organised to showcase citizen-centric IT initiatives taken by the LG administration in Jammu and Kashmir that have helped in bringing about greater transparency in governance and ease of living for citizens.
Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Prof. Akbar Masood said that the IT initiatives taken up by the LG administration in Jammu and Kashmir, have been transforming Jammu and Kashmir into a digitally empowered society. Prof. Akbar said that digital empowerment is key to economic development. Prof. Akbar mentioned that many IT initiatives have been taken up at BGSB university including a fully automated online admission process to bring out transparency in the system. Prof. Akbar said that BGSB University is successfully implementing digital initiatives in academics and research and is building dedicated IT infrastructure to achieve new horizons of growth and development. Prof. Akbar said that his aim is making all student-centric and employee-centric services fully automated. Prof. Akbar congratulated the students and scholars who participated in various activities during the weeklong Digital JK celebration.
During the weeklong celebration, the BGSB University organised a digital poster-making competition, a symposium on Digital India: empowerment and Transformation and an online quiz on digital initiatives of Govt. Of Jammu and Kashmir. A large number of students and research scholars from various departments participated in these activities.
