PAMPORE: Jammu and Kashmir police arrested a notorious drug peddler and recovered 300 grams of Contraband substances from his possession in Wuyan Pampore area police district Awantipora, police said on Tuesday.
A police officer told Kashmir Reader that police party Khrew led by SHO Khrew Manzoor Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Pampore Mir Imtiyaz Ahmad during the naka checking arrested one notorious drug peddler when he was suspiciously near Hanfia Public School Wuyan village of Pampore.
The arrested drug peddler has been identified as Sameer Ahmad Bhat son of Ali Mohd Bhat, resident of Wuyan Pampore.
Durin the search 300 gram of contraband substances suspected to be charas ( wrapped in Maize Husk) was recovered from the possession of arrested persons.
The arrested drug peddler was shifted to the police station Khrew where he remains in police custody.
A case FIR number 51/2022 under relevant sections of NDPS stands registered at Police Station Khrew.
Meanwhile, local residents of the area appreciated the role of police for nabbing the notorious drug peddlers in the area.
