SRINAGAR: Police in Budgam have arrested four persons and seized 04 vehicles involved in the commission of crime.
Officers from Police Station Khansahab arrested 04 persons and seized four vehicles for their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals from Govt land at khatresh wadur Khansahab. The accused persons have been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad kuchay son of Abdul Raheem Kuchay resident of Branwar, Zahoor Ahmad Ganie son of Abdul Gani Ganie resident of Gurwaith KhanSahab, Mohd Iqbal Ganie son of Abdul Samad Ganie resident of Dabipora Yarikha and Abdul Qayoom Mir son of Ali Mohd Mir resident of Yarikha. They have been shifted to the police station where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 125/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Khansahab and further investigation set into motion.
Persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt as per law. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
