Srinagar: Tarannum Kadarbhai, Embassy Liaison Officer for Indo Dutch COEs at the embassy of The Netherlands today visitedCentre of Excellence (CoE)Zawoora, Srinagar. She was welcomed by Director Horticulture G.R.Mir and other officers of the department at the Centre of Excellence. DirectorHorticulture briefed the visiting Dignitary about the objective of establishment of the centre.
Pertinently, the Centre of Excellence is being established under the centrally sponsored scheme MIDH at an estimated cost of 924 lakhs.The Centre, when fully completed, shall have the facilities like production of high-quality fruit plants, Tissue Culture Labs, Bio-control labs, and a weather disease forecasting station. The Centre will serve as a Demonstration Centre for HD Plantation, Green House Technology, Micro-irrigation, and other latest technology.
Speaking on the occasion, the guest assured all kinds of help for the successful completion of the centre.At the end Director thanked the guest for her visit to the Centre of Excellence.
