Srinagar: Anjuman Auqaf Jama Masjid Srinagar, on behalf of the organisation and its incarcerated Chairman Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq who continues to be under illegal house arrest for the last three years, has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim World, on the arrival of Eid-ul-Adha.
The Anjuman in a statement said that as far as the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha in Jammu and Kashmir is concerned, this year’s Eid is also being celebrated at a time when people in Jammu and Kashmir, are going through extremely difficult times
The Anjuman recalled the philosophy of Eid-ul-Adha and the unparalleled sacrifices of Hazrat Ibraheem (AS) and Hazrat Ismaeel (AS) and termed it the “ascension of humanity”.
It urged people to celebrate Eid with simplicity in accordance with Islamic traditions and teachings, and seek the pleasure of Allah Almighty by reaching out to the poor, backward and needy.
