Kangan: A scooty rider and his pillion were killed in a road mishap in Margund area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Thursday afternoon.
Officials told Kashmir Reader that a scooty bearing registration number JK16B 3354 was hit by a Tata Sumo vehicle bearing registration number JK16 2791 at Margund Kangan area, resulting in critical injuries to the scooty and his pillion rider.
Officials said that the duo was immediately taken to a SDH Kangan where both of them were declared dead on arrival.
Officials said that the deceased duo has been identified as Sameer Ahmad Khan son of Mohammad Yousuf Khan a resident of Batpora Tangchatir Kangan and Muzaffar Ahmad Najar son of Nazir Ahmad Najar a resident of Margund Kangan.
Kangan have registered a case into the incident for further investigations, the official added
