Srinagar: Commissioner SMC Athar Amir Khan along with senior officers of SMC including Joint Commissioner SMC Syed Abul Qasim, Chief Sanitation Officer Nazir Ahmed Baba, Public Relations Officer Idrees Hakim and others visited Shri Amarnath Yatri Transit Camp at Pantha Chowk to review the arrangements put in place.
During the visit Commissioner oversaw the arrangements made for the devotees at the camp.
thar on the occasion passed directions to the concerned for water supply, sanitation and other required facilities.
He also directed for uninterrupted supply of electricity, clean drinking water and sanitation facilities at the camp.
To facilitate the devotees thronging to the place, Mr Athar passed on directions to the concerned to set up a Municipal Camp for assistance of devotees.
He took a round to the washroom areas earmarked for ladies and gents, facilitation counters etc and took stock of the facilities put in place there.
SMC has put in place 310 toilets , 70 Bath Stations and 90 Urinals for the the convenience of devotees at the camp.
