Distt Admin Budgam organises Blood Donation Camps

ADC urges youth to voluntarily donate blood to save human lives

BUDGAM: On World Blood Donor Day, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Budgam, Dr Nasir Ahmad today inaugurated a blood donation camp at Sheikh-ul-Alam Hall Budgam.
The camp was organized by District Hospital Budgam, where 80 donors donated blood.
Among donors, was India’s leading blood donor, Shabir Hussain Khan of Srinagar who donated 176th pint of 0-ve blood today during the camp.
Chief Education Officer Budgam, Mushtaq Ahmad Qadri, Medical Superintendent, DH Budgam, Dr Mohammad Ayoub Fateh Khan, senior medicos and others were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC said that donating blood is the best service one can offer to the entire humanity. He said donors must feel proud for saving human lives and helping the needy in most critical situations.
ADC appreciated Shabir Hussain Khan for his passion for blood donation. “Despite rare blood group, Khan has donated 176 pints so far and has become the top donor of India” said ADC.
He urged youth to become volunteers for blood donation to save human lives.
CEO and MS DH Budgam also spoke on the occasion and appreciated all blood donors.
