Srinagar: Sheri Kashmir University of Agriculture Science and Technology’s Vice Chancellor’s sports festival concluded here earlier this week.
The tournament was organised by SKUAST’s Department of Student Welfare, Faculty of Fisheries, in collaboration with Dean Student Welfare SKUAST-Kashmir.
The prize distribution ceremony was conducted under the chairmanship of Dean Faculty of Fisheries, SKUAST-Kashmir Prof. (Dr) Massarat Khan.
She highlighted the importance of sports in the overall development of students while addressing the gathering in the prize distribution ceremony.
She also lauded the support of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr) Nazir Ahmad Ganai and Prof. (Dr) M. A. A. Siddiqui for their valuable guidance and support for conducting the event.
The Vice Chancellor’s sports festival was conducted from 30th of May 2022 up to 06th June 2022 where different games like Carrom, Chess, Badminton, Kabaddi, Tug-of-War, Cricket were played in the festival. The winners and runner-up teams from PG-Eleven, UG-Combined, BFSc 4th year & Teaching along with players who were winners in carrom, badminton and chess were felicitated by Dean, FoFy.
