SRINAGAR: Afreen Akhter of BA 2nd Sem,bagged first position followed by Mehak Fayaz of B. Com (Hons) 6th Sem and Masrat Shabir of B. Sc 6th Sem. Achieved third position in Islamia College of Science and Commerce’s Annual Road Race(Girls) held here on Thursday.
Principal Islamia College of Science and Commerce Prof. Sheikh Ajaz Bashir flagged off the Annual College Girls Road Race from Shalimar Ghat Bridge to Duck Park Point Northern Foreshore Road. The event saw the participation of 54 Girls who displayed exemplary skills to make the day memorable. Pertinently, the students from Humanities and Commerce outsmarted others with ease bagging top 10 positions.
The winner was felicitated by Principal who interacted with participants and stimulated their interest in other sporting events. Dr. Nayer Rizwana, Prof. Zahida Mehraj and Dr. Seema Bashir added flashes of brilliance to the event as special invitees and presented medallion to other prize winners.
