Seminar, awareness programme on International Day of Action for Women’s held in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: On occasion of International Day of action for Women’s Health 2022, a seminar cum awareness workshop was organised by Sufi Snober, Chairperson, JK United Welfare Foundation supported by Indian Army at Auditorium of Directorate of Information & Public Relations, Srinagar. This was one of the first of its kind Seminar and Awareness Workshop organised in Srinagar (Kashmir) when issues of Women’s health and hygiene were taken up for Women’s empowerment on International Day of Action for Women’s health.
200 Girls students from five different schools participated in the Seminar and Awareness Workshop and benefitted by the experts from various fields of Medical health (Gynaecologist), Child Psychologist, Career Counselling and interactive Josh Talks were delivered by Women achievers viz Muntaha Baba & Dr Mehar Rather (Women Achiever & Social Activist) during the Seminar and Workshop on Women health.
The experts emphasised that there is a need to break the taboo and stigma associated with the Menstrual Hygiene issues prevailing in the girls in particular and society as a whole.
Nighat Aman, SSP Security Was chief guest and graced the occasion, motivated Womens and Girls for action on Women’s health issues.
