Driver, farmer killed as tractor turns turtle in Pampore

PAMPORE: Two persons including a tractor driver and a farmer were killed after a tractor they were traveling on turned turtle at Konibal village of Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday morning.
SHO Pampore Adil Ashraf told Kashmir Reader that tractor driver and 60 year old man were killed after a tractor they were traveling on turned turtle.
The deceased were identified as Abul Majeed Dar (40) son of Abdul Khaliq, resident of Krunchoo and Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Mir (60) son of Ghulam Ahmad, resident of Konibal Pampore.
The accident took place at Saffron field in Konibal area.
The tractor trolley was loaded with cow dung turned turtle resulting seriously injuries to the tractor driver and other person who was sitting on the mudguard of tractor.
The duo were rushed to Sub District Hospital Pampore where doctors declared both of them brought dead.
Police Pampore registered a case and investigation taken up, SHO Adil Ashraf said.
The farmer, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, was father of six daughters and a son while tractor driver Abdul Majeed left behind a minor son, daughter and a wife, locals told Kashmir Reader.
