SRINAGAR: The first edition of District Kupwara Tennis Ball Cricket Championship (Boys and girls) begins at Sports Stadium Kulangam Handwara on Friday.
A total of 18 teams are participating in the tournament.
The Sports Officer Central J &K Sports Council Nusrat Gazala visited the venue and interacted with the Participants there.
She assured the youth of the area who were the part of the championship, with full support from Sports council for participating in such events.
The officer was fully satisfied by the arrangements made by the organising committee for holding the District Kupwara Tennis Ball Cricket Championship and assured them for every possible support from the Sports Council.
The Three day long District Championship is being organised by the District Kupwara Tennis Ball Cricket Association under the aegis of J &K Tennis Ball Cricket Association.
The Championship is being sponsored by the J & K Sports Council under the Initiative of ‘My Youth My pride ‘ programme.
