SRINAGAR: With a view to conserve water for the future, a meeting of District Level Committee constituted for effective implementation and coordination for Mission Amrit Sarovar was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad in the Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex here on Tuesday.
While deliberating upon the Mission Amrit Sarovar initiative , the DC said that the Mission is aimed at developing and rejuvenating water bodies of a size of about an acre or more as a part of the celebration of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to be completed by August 15, 2023.
