PAMPORE: Tehsil Legal Services Committee Pampore under the guidance of Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee Pampore Junaid Imtiaz Mir (KCS Judicial) organised an awareness programme regarding the subject titled “International Labour Day” on Sunday at Azad Stadium Khrew area of Pampore. To honour the struggles and gains made by workers and labourers, the first day of May is observed as International Labour Day, officials told Kashmir Reader.
The aim behind observing this day was to draw people’s attention towards the labour. This Day is dedicated to workers and labourers across the world, officials told Kashmir Reader.
This day celebrates labourers and encourages them to be aware of their rights
The programme was attended by Assistant Labour Commissioner Pulwama Hafsa Qayoom,Labour Inspector Pulwama Pervaiz Ahmad Thoker. The programme was also attended by Bar President Bar Association Pampore Ajaz Ahmad Khan, Bar Members, Panel Lawyers and PLV’s of TLSC Pampore.
Hafsa Qayoom delivered a speech regarding the rights of labours. She highlighted the various laws that support the working class. Lawyers also spoke briefly regarding the labours and their various rights.
