VC Guru AngadDev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University Ludhiana visits FVSc& AH, Shuhama

Srinagar: Vice Chancellor,Guru AngadDev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) Ludhiana, Dr.Inderjeet Singh, today visited Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry (FVSc& AH), SKUAST-K, Shuhama on 22nd April 2022. Dr.Inderjeet was accompanied by Dr. J. B. Phogat, Former Dean PG at LalaLajpatRai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (LUVAS), Hisar who are presently on their visit to UT of J&K. The visiting team held a brief interactive session with all Heads of Division and other scientists in Dean’s Conference Hall at Shuhama.
Dr.Inderjeet briefed the audience about the existing facilities and the other professional practices in vogue at GADVASU, Ludhiana.Dr. Singh highlighted the salient achievements of his parent University especially with regard to existing quality Veterinary Clinical services offered to the farming community.
Further, Dr.Inderjeet Singh principally agreed to have a regular student exchange programme with the FVSc& AH, SKUAST-K under the externship component of Compulsory Rotational Internship Programme for BVSc& AH students.Vice Chancellor GADVASU, Dr.Inderjeetalso agreed to collaborate with SKUAST-K in its newly introduced sand witch mode degree courses for Post-Graduate students by offering the selective courses for exchange. Dean FVSc& AH, Prof. M.T. Banday thanked and appreciated the visiting dignitaries for their academic cooperation and support.Prof. Banday also expressed the desire to build on broad, deep and enduring links of friendship and academic partnership with GADVASU in coming times. Later the Guest officials visited various Divisions/Units at Faculty including the all-important Veterinary Clinical Complex wherein they interacted with the staff members.
The team had a high level meeting later in the day at main Universitycampusat Shalimar with Vice Chancellor SKUAST-K Prof. Nazir A Ganai on side-lines of their visit to the valley.
